IMPORTANT NOTES
Each age group is evaluated in a way that matches their stage of development and experience level.
Athletes born 2017–2021
Tiny/Mini tryouts are designed to be fun, supportive, and a great first introduction to All-Star cheer.
Athletes will be guided through age-appropriate skills including basic motions, jumps, beginner tumbling, and simple choreography. Our goal is to help each athlete feel comfortable, confident, and excited throughout the process.
No prior experience is needed — we love welcoming brand new athletes at this level
Our coaches focus on:
This level is all about building a strong foundation while helping athletes fall in love with cheer.
Athletes born 2014–2019
Youth tryouts are designed to be supportive while introducing athletes to a more structured All-Star cheer environment.
Athletes will work through key skill areas including motions, jumps, tumbling, stunting, and short choreography. These evaluations allow athletes to showcase both their current abilities and the skills they are continuing to build.
Our coaches focus on:
While no experience is required, athletes at this level should be ready to listen, try new skills, and grow within a team setting.
Our goal is to place each athlete where they can build confidence, strengthen their skills, and continue progressing in the sport.
Athletes born 2007–2018
Jr./Senior tryouts are designed for athletes ready to take the next step in their All-Star cheer journey with increased focus, commitment, and performance expectations.
Athletes will be evaluated in key areas including motions, jumps, tumbling, stunting, and choreography. These evaluations allow athletes to demonstrate both their current skill level and their ability to learn, adapt, and perform in a team setting.
Our coaches focus on:
Athletes at this level should be prepared to be challenged, push their abilities, and commit to continued growth throughout the season.
Our goal is to place each athlete where they can succeed, be challenged, and contribute to a strong, competitive team.
