Coach Emme Lee

Cheer Coordinator & Head Coach
14 Years of Cheer Experience

Coach Emme brings over a decade of cheer experience and a heart full of passion to Power Cheer. She has coached all-star, sideline, and recreational teams, working with athletes as young as 3 and as old as 17. Her journey into coaching began when her daughter Ana joined cheer at just three years old. From team mom to assistant, to head coach—Emme’s love for the sport and its impact on young athletes has only grown stronger.

Emme is fully USA Cheer certified with her youth protection course and safety & risk management courses. She’s known for her strong, loving, and constructive coaching style. Her favorite skill to teach is stunting—watching athletes finally hit a stunt after weeks of hard work is one of her greatest joys.

Whether she’s hyping up the team with “Me Too” by Meghan Trainor or encouraging kids to embrace their own superpowers, Emme leads with purpose. She’s part drill sergeant, part cheer mom, and all heart. Her proudest moments as a coach come from watching her athletes grow—not just in skill, but in confidence and character.

When she’s not coaching, Emme is probably relaxing on her porch sipping tea (not coffee—“yuck!”). Her favorite skill? A clean extension show-and-go, of course.

Coach Jessica Benham

Head Coach
Cheer Experience: 2 Years

Coach Jessica Benham may not have started in cheer, but her heart and dedication have made her an invaluable part of the Power Cheer family. Her journey began when her daughter joined sideline cheer in elementary school. From supporting the team behind the scenes to becoming a Head Coach, Jessica’s involvement grew with her passion for the sport.

With a background in dance and a lifelong dream of owning a dance studio, coaching at Power Cheer has been a dream come true. She’s USA Cheer certified, CPR certified, and has completed the Youth Protection Course, bringing both safety and spirit to every practice.

Jessica’s coaching style is rooted in encouragement and high expectations. “I coach every athlete the way I coach my own kids—with patience, motivation, and love.” Her favorite part of routines? Dance—it’s where her creativity and energy shine the most.

She focuses on building confidence through support, celebrating every milestone—big or small—and making sure each athlete feels seen and valued.

What Jessica loves most about Power Cheer is the energy, passion, and pure joy that come from being part of something bigger than yourself. Her ultimate goal? To help every athlete leave the program with self-confidence and a deep sense of what it means to be part of a team.

Outside the gym, she’s always repping purple and sipping on an iced vanilla coffee—with her lioness spirit always leading the way.

Cheer Experience: 11 Years (4 Years Coaching)

Coach Ana Lee brings a vibrant energy and growing expertise to Power Cheer. With eleven years of experience as both an athlete and coach, Ana knows firsthand what it takes to thrive in the sport. Her coaching journey began out of a desire to give back—to empower athletes the same way her own mentors inspired her.

Ana is USA Cheer certified and has coached a range of age groups across different programs. Her coaching style blends structure, positivity, and encouragement. She’s especially known for helping athletes believe in themselves, on and off the mat.

Nani Robin Lucas

Assiatant Coach & Resident Mafia Grandma
Cheer Experience: 7 Years

Coach Robin Lucas brings a vibrant and unique skill set to Power Cheer. While her personal background comes from competitive twirling, she’s no stranger to the spotlight—holding six state titles and one national title in fire baton, rifle, and sabers. She’s been part of Power Cheer since the very beginning, serving as a coach, board member, and key leader in fundraising efforts.

Robin is USA Cheer certified, First Aid certified, has completed the Youth Protection Course, and brings even more to the table as a retired nurse.

Her coaching style is best described as tough but nurturing. She’s known as the “Straight Line Guru,” specializing in polishing routines with crisp, sharp movements and helping athletes stand out with their strengths.

Robin believes every athlete has something special to offer, and she works hard to bring that out while building new skills. Her impact is visible in the confidence her athletes carry—both in and out of uniform.

One of her proudest moments was watching the Axes team take the stage at Quest in Orlando. “Our tiny program was on the big stage, and I couldn’t have been prouder.”

What she loves most about Power Cheer? The family feel. “Our program succeeds because of our volunteers. Everyone here brings heart.”

And in case you're wondering: Coach Robin's favorite color is pink, she can't stand cooking, and her go-to coffee order? A Starbucks Cookie Crumble. Just don’t expect her in the kitchen—she'll be on the mat making lines tighter and routines sharper.

Coach Javier Sandoval

Assistant Coach

Coach Javier may be new to the cheer world, but his dedication and heart make a big impact at Power Cheer. As an Assistant Coach working with teenagers, Javier brings a supportive, motivated energy to the mat. He's been part of Greenwood Power Cheer for a short time, but his willingness to learn and lead is already making a difference.

What inspired him to start coaching? It looked like fun—and with a natural knack for stunts and strength-based skills, he quickly found his place in the gym. He describes his coaching style as laid-back but firm, knowing there's always more to learn while still encouraging discipline.

Javier’s favorite skill to teach is handstands and basic strength work, helping athletes push through physical and mental limits. “If they believe in themselves and put in hard work, anything they put their mind to can go from possibility to reality,” he says.

One of his proudest moments came from helping an athlete break through their self-doubt and accomplish something they never thought possible.

Outside of coaching, Javier has a big personality with fun quirks—like that time he owned a chicken for three days—and he’s all about good vibes and better playlists. His hype song is “Animals” by Nickelback, and his go-to drink is a pumpkin spice latte loaded with extra vanilla and pumpkin spice. He’s also a big fan of Cheez-Its, basket stunts, and anything in purple or burgundy.

If his coaching style had a mascot? Definitely a lion—calm, strong, and always ready to protect and lead when it matters most.

What he loves most about Power Cheer is the chance to stay active while making a difference in young athletes' lives. His biggest goal? To help every kid believe in themselves, no matter what challenges life throws their way.

Coach Stephanie

Assistant Coach

Cheer Experience: 15 Years as Athlete/ 1st year Coaching

Coach Stephanie brings deep-rooted passion and high-level experience to Power Cheer. With 15 years of cheer under her belt—including school cheer, all-star programs, and a spot on the prestigious 48-member Level 5 varsity team at Riverdale High School in Ft. Myers—she knows exactly what it takes to succeed in the sport. Her journey included time with Premier Cheer Explosion, and she’s thrilled to be back in cheer now as a coach and mom.

She is USA Cheer certified, and coaching was always on her heart—even more so now that her daughter, Bean, has joined the program. “Ever since I stepped off the mat, I knew I’d return. Now I get to share this chapter with my daughter.”

Stephanie is a hands-on, informative coach who believes in building solid technique from the ground up. Her sharp eye for detail (like an eagle, her self-described mascot) helps her catch form issues quickly and guide athletes to safer, cleaner performance. Her favorite skill to teach is stunting—especially because it was once her biggest fear as an athlete. “A coach once broke it down for me so clearly, everything clicked. I love being that coach for someone else.”

She believes confidence starts in the mind and builds through small wins, repetition, and trust in your training. Her coaching is fueled by positive energy, reassurance, and commitment to helping every athlete believe they can—even when their brain says otherwise.

At Power Cheer, Stephanie loves the passionate coaching staff and tight-knit, family feel. Her proudest moments are watching athletes correct their own mistakes, rise to challenges, and grow in real time.

And when she’s not on the mat, you’ll find Coach Stephanie sipping an iced brown sugar shaken espresso with oat milk from Starbucks (or an iced Funnel Cake Blondie from 7Brew), snacking on Sunchips and red-only Starbursts, and getting fired up over stunts like a front walkover to teddy bear sit, up to scorpion extension, finishing in a double-down. Her favorite tumbling pass? A clean, powerful roundoff back handspring back tuck.
