Power Cheer began in 2021 with one team and a simple idea: competitive cheer should be accessible to more families. After years of coaching and working in cheer programs, founder Emme Lee saw that athletes in our community had very few opportunities to experience competitive cheer outside of traditional All-Star gyms. What began as a small off-season recreational team practicing in local schools quickly grew as more athletes and families discovered a place where they could compete, belong, and grow without cost being the barrier that kept them from the sport they loved.

That one team became two, then became an independent nonprofit, found a home of its own, and eventually grew beyond the community where it started. Today, Power Cheer is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit All-Star program, still powered by volunteers and still built around the same purpose that started it all. With athletes from age four through adulthood, families traveling from communities across Central Indiana, and teams pursuing some of the biggest opportunities in All-Star cheer, we've grown tremendously—but the heart of Power Cheer hasn't changed. We're here to give athletes a place to grow, a family to belong to, and the opportunity to discover just how far their journey can take them.

We believe every athlete deserves the opportunity to be challenged, supported, and celebrated. Success looks different for every athlete, and our job is to meet them where they are, believe in what they can become, and give them the tools and opportunities to get there.

And we believe it takes more than athletes to build something special. 

Power Cheer is athletes, families, coaches, and volunteers growing together, showing up for one another, and building a community where everyone has a place.
